This Red Phalarope in first winter plumage was close to shore at Bronte near Toronto on 21 November 2015. Everyone got great views and was able to study its plumage. First winter is the age class most often seen in late fall in Ontario.

New Camera

As of May 2015, I'm using the Nikon p900 83x zoom. This camera is replacing digiscoping for me. It's fantastic.

Most earlier photos were digiscoped with a Swarovski scope and spice jar lid adapter. My latest scope is the Swarovski ATM 80 HD
