Point Pelee Mammals

A bedraggled adult Beaver Castor canadensis walked rapidly around the Tip of Point Pelee, re-entered the water on the calmer west side and swam north. It is unusual to see one at the Tip, a long way from a marsh or suitable habitat. 15 May 2011

 

Probable Eastern Pipistrelle at the Tip tram stop at Point Pelee. Eastern Pipistrelle is the smallest bat in Ontario. 11 May 2011
