Red-throated Loon at Presqu'ile Provincial Park

This strange-looking Red-throated Loon was feeding close to shore on Lake Ontario off Beach 4 heading towards Owen Point on 23 August 2014

Its plumage looked waterlogged, though it was diving actively and appeared alert.

Possibly it has got into some unpleasant liquid.
