Rare Eastern Yellow Palm Warbler in Toronto

Today Ron Pittaway and I observed a rare "Yellow" Palm Warbler (eastern subspecies hypochrysea) in the Wet Woods at the base of Tommy Thompson Park (Leslie Street Spit). This rarer of the two subspecies in Ontario breeds mainly east of Ontario into Atlantic Canada. 16 April 2017.

It's in breeding plumage, and is all yellow below with rusty coloured streaking on the sides. Yellow Palms tend to migrate earlier in spring than Western Palms.
