Purple Gallinule at John R. Park Homestead near Harrow, Ontario, is a rare sight in Ontario. Intermittently it showed itself and gave great views. 20 August 2018.

Look at the size of that foot! Its long toes, especially the middle toe, allow it to walk, even run, on water lilies. 20 August 2018.

It walks in such a way that its white undertail coverts pop in and out of view.
