3. Lesser Black-backed Gull in third prebasic molt or definitve prebasic molt, with retained outer primaries. Bill more typical of definitive bird. Note: black marks on bill may be a physical aberration (fungus?). If it stays, we will watch how it molts. 6 October 2005.
