Juvenile Ferruginous Hawk at Willcox on 15 January 2010. Left photo shows feathered legs, a characteristic of Ferruginous Hawk and not of Red-tailed Hawk. Right photo shows white tail base with dark spots on upper tail coverts, indistinct bands on grey tail, dark mark behind the eye and lack of malar stripe, which eliminate Red-tailed Hawk.
