San Cristobal - Chatham Island is the most easterly in the archipelago.

 

In 1835, Darwin landed on the same beach where we are standing, Cerro Brujo on San Cristobal - Chatham Island

 

Galapagos Sea Lions at Cerro Brujo on San Cristobal Island - Large male or "beachmaster" with harem.

 

This Lava Lizard Microlophus bivittatus occurs only on San Cristobal. 13 November 2011

 

Ghost Crabs were numerous at Cerro Brujo.

 

Chatham Mockingbird Nesomimus melanotis is found only on San Cristobal - Chatham Island.

 

Whimbrel that nest in North America overwinter in the Galapagos. Cerro Brujo, San Cristobal Island on 13 November 2011.
