First winter probable hybrid Herring x Glaucous Gull at St. John's dump on 14 January 2007. This is a frequent hybrid in St. John's.

Second winter probable hybrid Herring x Glaucous Gull at St. John's dump on 14 January 2007. Aged by pale iris and pale tip to bill and mottled appearance. We saw other second winter birds that were mainly white with little mottling.

Third winter probable hybrid Glaucous x Great Black-backed Gull on 14 January 2007.

Adult (right) probable hybrid Glaucous x Great Black-backed Gull on 14 January 2007.

Same bird a above. Probable hybrid Glaucous x Great Black-backed Gull on 14 January 2007.

Possible hybrid Herring x Lesser Black-backed Gull on 16 January 2007.

This unidentified individual (probable hybrid) suggested a Yellow-legged Gull except for its yellowish pink legs and moderate head streaking. 14 January 2007.
