On
our recent trip to
British Columbia, we were thrilled to see North America's largest
shorebird at Blackie Spit on Boundary Bay.
Long-billed Curlew
is a regular at this location and easy to see as it feeds along the
tide line. Probing in the mud/sand for crabs and shrimps, it caught
a crab, which is one of its favourite foods. I could have watched it
