Burntpoint Camp in Polar Bear Provincial Park

Burntpoint Camp is in Polar Bear Provincial Park on the Ontario coast of Hudson Bay, 1334 km (834 miles) north of Toronto, Ontario, and about 74 km (46 miles) east of Peawanuck and 131 km (81 miles) west of Cape Henrietta Maria.

The largest provincial park in Ontario, Polar Bear Provincial Park is a wilderness park 23,552 square kilometres (9,093 sq mi) in size.

Burntpoint Camp in Polar Bear Provincial Park is surrounded by an electric fence to keep out Polar Bears. I was previously there in 2002 and 2003.

Caribou on the tundra near camp. Tundra extends along the south coast of Hudson Bay and is the most southerly in the world.
