Ruddy Turnstone and More at Presqu'ile Provincial Park

Juvenile Ruddy Turnstone at Presqu'ile Provincial Park on 19 September 2016. It was feeding in the now deserted Double-crested Cormorant colony, overturning pebbles, debris and even dead cormorants.

With a slight upturn to the bill, Ruddy Turnstones can lift, move and push large items and heavy objects to search for prey.
