Male Black-bellied Plover in breeding plumage at Hillman Marsh, where thousands gather in the spring before migrating to the Arctic. 11 May 2017.

 

Two American Golden-Plovers in breeding plumage at Hillman Marsh on 12 May 2017. This was not a good year for seeing Golden-Plovers in the Point Pelee area. Possibly their northbound migration kept them on a more westerly route this year.

 

Solitary Sandpiper in breeding plumage in the slough on Woodland Trail at Point Pelee on 3 May 2017. Rain and high lake levels created ideal conditions this year.
