VIDEO: Gray and Pink River Dolphins

We saw many Gray and Pink River Dolphins on our recent expedition cruise to the Peruvian Amazon. Gray or Tucuxi River Dolphins (Sotalia fluviatilis) are smaller and were more numerous than the Pink (Inia geoffrensis) River Dolphins. These two species of freshwater dolphins inhabit the Amazon River basin. In fact they are toothed whales. Despite being common and close, they moved very quickly and were hard to photograph. 24 February - 3 March 2018.
